April 3, 2020 Blog Post
This is from my March 18 newsletter article. I believe everything applies today as much or more than it did on March 18.
As most of us across the globe are under social distancing orders, are sheltered in place, or just coming out of those orders due to COVID-19, we are living in a very different world than just a few short weeks ago. It may be hard to imagine for many of you right now but I am confident that there is always something good that comes out of times like these.
This virus doesn’t care about borders or race or age or anything else that tends to distract and divide us as human beings. I’d like to think that it could be a catalyst that sparks a little more kindness in the world. Call me naïve or a hopeless idealist but we can all use a little more kindness in our lives. So, be kind to one another, help someone in need, and don’t hoard things that you don’t need. We will get through this together but only by each and every person doing their part and being socially responsible.
Here are 3 ideas for how you can help:
Grocery shop online for someone at greater risk and in need.Have it delivered to their doorstep.
Donate to your local food bank or others providing front line support to families hit the hardest by schools closing and wage earners forced to stay home.
Video chat with everyone you know around the world to show support and help push back fear and loneliness.Show solidarity!
